Please take a moment to review these terms so you can get the most out of your time with Edumat.
1. Hourly Rate
The hourly rate for tutorial services varies based on the type of service provided. Please refer to Tutorial Services for specific details.
2. Payment

Payment is due on the day of the tutorial session.

Payments can be made via bank transfer.

Prompt payment is appreciated.
3. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours notice.

If a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session, the full tutorial rate will be charged.
4. Online Tutoring Requirements

Online students must have access to a laptop or PC.

Students must have Zoom installed and ready to use.

An exercise book and writing equipment are required for all online sessions.

Students must have access to a printer, as some materials are required to be printed, including additional learning materials and references, which students can refer to during and outside of sessions to reinforce their understanding and support their studies.
5. Face-to-Face Tutoring Requirements

Face-to-face sessions are held at my home address.

Students should bring their own exercise book and writing equipment.
6. Homework Policy

Students are expected to complete assigned homework.

Homework should be handed in the day before the next session to allow time for detailed feedback and marking.
7. Parental/Guardian Involvement
For younger students or those with special learning needs, parents or guardians are highly encouraged to actively participate in the tutoring process. Their involvement is crucial for monitoring progress, offering additional support, and reinforcing the skills and concepts taught during sessions. This collaborative approach ensures that each student receives the personalised attention and encouragement they need to thrive academically.
8. Confidentiality
All personal information and academic details shared with Edumat will be kept confidential and used solely for the purpose of providing tutoring services.
9. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to maintain respectful behavior during tutoring sessions.

Students are expected to commit to learning and complete all activities and extra work.

Disruptive or inappropriate conduct may result in termination of the session without refund.
10. Session Attendance
Students are expected to be punctual and prepared for each session. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session.
11. Technical Issues
If either side experiences technical issues during an online session, every effort will be made to resolve the problem promptly. If the session cannot be completed due to technical difficulties, a rescheduled session will be arranged at no additional cost. This ensures that students do not miss out on their learning and can continue with their academic progress seamlessly.
12. Communication
Open communication between the tutor, student, and parents/guardians (if applicable) is encouraged to ensure progress and address any concerns.
13. Safety and Well-being
For face-to-face sessions, it is essential for both students and parents or guardians to feel comfortable and secure. I encourage open communication about any specific needs or concerns related to safety and well-being, including health considerations and accessibility requirements. Your input helps me create a supportive environment, allowing me to tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every student and fostering an atmosphere of trust and collaboration that enhances the tutoring experience.
14. Termination of Service
Edumat reserves the right to terminate tuition services under certain circumstances, including but not limited to disruptive or inappropriate conduct and non-payment of fees.

By signing in to Edumat's tutorial services, students and parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these Terms of Service.
